During the festive entry of Sinterklaas into Someren, not only the good saint and his pieten were a striking appearance. A special group, the Tomatenpieten, brought a cheerful twist to the spectacle! With bags full of juicy tomatoes, straight from the greenhouses, they handed out their harvest to the enthusiastic public.
The night before the entry the Tomatenpieten picked 60 kg of cherry tomatoes. A great achievement, and the result was healthy and tasty snacks for the holidays!
