Yesterday we welcomed the LIB (Agricultural Innovation North Brabant) Steering Committee and invited guests to an inspiring meeting around the theme of biodiversity. This exciting evening was all about sharing insights and ideas on biodiversity in agriculture.
The evening was kicked off by Lisa Peters and Nick Greijmans of Wim Peters Kwekerijen, who gave an inspiring introduction about their vision to the future in the field of sustainability. This was followed by various speakers with their contributions:
- Emile Stöver (Federation of Fruit Vegetable Organizations - FVO): shared how the sector can be a leader in the food transition.
- Jan Meeuws (IVN): discussed the importance of biodiversity in the local environment.
- Hannah Baijer (Bakker Barendrecht): talked about the Better for Nature & Farmer AGF program and its impact on nature and agriculture.
- Dewi Hartkamp (SIGN): gave an update on developments in integral sustainability in greenhouse horticulture.
The program was framed by a delicious tomato dinner provided by chef Marijn van Diepen. That was enjoying culinary delights starring tomatoes.
We thank all the speakers and participants for their contributions to this inspiring evening.
